Prepare the Onions and Batter

  3. Whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Coat and Cook the Onions
  1. Dip each prepared onion into the buttermilk, and then coat in the seasoned flour mixture.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Arrange the coated onions in the air fryer basket, spray the tops with cooking spray, and cook for 10-12 minutes.
Serve
  1. Prepare a dipping sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish sauce, and lemon juice.
  2. Once the onions are crispy and golden, serve them warm alongside the dipping sauce.
