  • 6 leaves Basil Leaves Mint or cilantro can be used as alternatives.
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Lemon juice can be a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or Agave Syrup Maple syrup can be used for a richer flavor.
For the Fizz
  • 1 cup Sparkling Water or Club Soda Can substitute with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale for a sweeter taste.
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes Essential for chilling your drink.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Muddle a handful of fresh berries with basil leaves in a shaker or Mason jar for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add lime juice and honey/agave syrup to the mixture, blend well for about 15 seconds.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Strain the berry-basil mixture over the ice-filled glass.
  5. Top off the glass with sparkling water or club soda and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with whole berries and a sprig of basil, then serve immediately.
