  • 2 tablespoons Blackening Seasoning robust blend of spices like paprika and cayenne
For the Tacos
  • 8 pieces Corn Tortillas flour tortillas are a great alternative
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage coleslaw mix can be used as an alternative
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro parsley works in a pinch if cilantro isn’t available
  • 2 pieces Lime Wedges fresh lime is highly recommended

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the fresh fish fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Generously season both sides with blackening seasoning and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Place a skillet on medium-high heat, add a couple of tablespoons of oil, and heat until shimmering.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned fish fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until dark and crispy.
  4. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  5. On each warmed tortilla, layer shredded cabbage and a piece of blackened fish. Top with fresh cilantro.
  6. Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for drizzling fresh lime juice over the tacos.
