  • 4 cups Filtered Water Use fresh, clean water for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries Opt for ripe, juicy blueberries for maximum taste.
  • 1/2 unit Lemon Can substitute with lime if preferred.
  • 1 handful Fresh Mint Basil or rosemary can be used for an herbal touch.
  • as needed cups Ice Cubes Use large ice cubes or frozen blueberries to chill.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse one cup of fresh blueberries under cool running water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. In a large pitcher, lightly muddle half of the blueberries using the back of a spoon or a muddler.
  3. Slice half a lemon into thin rounds, and add these lemon slices along with a handful of fresh mint leaves to your pitcher.
  4. Pour about four cups of filtered water over the blueberry, lemon, and mint mixture in the pitcher.
  5. Using a long spoon, gently stir the mixture to combine all the flavors for about 30 seconds.
  6. Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Before serving, strain the infused water through a fine mesh sieve if desired.
  8. Pour the chilled Blueberry Infused Water into glasses, garnishing with additional blueberries or a slice of lemon.
