Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Mix with Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack for added flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder Adjust according to spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Essential for Tex-Mex cuisine
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used instead
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Substitute with fresh onion if desired
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust to taste
Tortillas
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas Can use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option
Serving
  • 1 cup Sour Cream A must-have!
  • 1 cup Salsa Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup Guacamole Try it with a squeeze of lime

Method
 

Directions
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until completely browned.
  2. Once the beef is browned, add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the beef mixture. Stir gently until the cheese melts completely.
  4. In a non-stick skillet, place a flour tortilla on medium heat. Add a quarter of the beef and cheese mixture and an extra 1/4 cup of shredded cheese on one half of the tortilla, fold it over.
  5. Cook the folded quesadilla for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Slice the quesadillas into wedges and serve warm with your favorite toppings.
