- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and orange zest, mixing until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chunks until evenly distributed.
- Portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
- Cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
