Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats up, prepare a loaf pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer half of the chicken mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it firmly into an even layer. Add a layer of sliced ham followed by Swiss cheese on top. Spread the remaining chicken mixture over the filling.
- Place the meatloaf in your preheated oven and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If the top starts browning too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
- Once baked, remove the Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes. After resting, slice and serve.
