  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour or whole wheat flour for nuttier flavor

For the Cinnamon Swirl Filling

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare muffin tin.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined.
  5. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to form a paste for the filling.
  6. Fill muffin cups one-third with batter, add cinnamon filling, then top with more batter until two-thirds full.
  7. Swirl the cinnamon mixture through the muffin batter with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool muffins in the pan for about 5 minutes, then make the glaze and drizzle over warm muffins.
