Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Base
  • 2 lbs Ground Beef (80-85% lean) Can substitute with ground turkey or a 50/50 blend.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 2 large Eggs Binds the mixture together.
  • 3/4 cup Milk Substitute with heavy cream for keto option.
  • 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs, preferably Panko Swap with almond flour for a keto option.
Enhancing Flavor
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred.
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup Use low-sugar ketchup for healthier options.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped Optional substitution with dried herbs.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce Infuses umami flavor.
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Glaze
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar Can be replaced with a sugar substitute.
  • 1 tsp White Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, ketchup, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, mixing gently.
  3. Transfer the mixture onto a clean surface and shape it into a loaf. Place it into the loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining glaze ingredients and brush half over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, then brush remaining glaze over the top and continue baking.
  6. Continue baking for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
