- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all ingredients.
- In a large bowl, mix chicken, marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and penne pasta until well combined.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat with remaining mixture and cheeses.
- In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs with olive oil until lightly coated. Sprinkle over the top layer of cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness if desired.
- Remove from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
