- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in milk and garlic powder until smooth. Gradually add cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Return drained pasta to pot over low heat, add cottage cheese, and pour in the cheddar sauce. Stir gently to coat the pasta evenly.
- Stir over low heat for an additional 2–3 minutes until warmed through. Avoid boiling.
