Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked and shredded chicken, room-temperature cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter. Mix well.
  3. Unroll the chilled crescent roll dough and flatten each triangle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling on the wide end of each triangle and fold over to encase, pinching seams tightly.
  5. Beat the egg and apply the wash over each pillow. Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Arrange the pillows on the baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add whole milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously, until the mixture thickens.
  8. Serve the baked Chicken Pillows with the creamy Parmesan sauce drizzled on top.
