Basic Preparation
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat until it bubbles. Do not brown.
- Whisk in the flour continuously for about 1 minute until bubbly and forming a roux.
- Gradually add milk, whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in cream cheese until melted and fully combined.
- Add Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until melted and combined.
- Fold in the fresh crabmeat gently and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the drained fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
