Preparation Steps
- Start by laying out your flour tortillas on a clean, flat surface. If desired, warm them slightly in the microwave for 10 seconds to enhance their flexibility.
- Take approximately 3 oz of ground beef and shape it into a ball. Place the beef in the center of each tortilla, then press down to flatten the beef into a thin patty.
- Preheat a large griddle or skillet over medium high heat, adding a tablespoon of cooking oil. Place the tortilla with the flattened beef patty onto the hot griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Once the bottom side of the tortilla is browned, carefully flip it over and sprinkle cheese over the beef patty.
- Fold the tortilla in half, encasing the filling. Fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the griddle and let cool on a wire rack. Slice in half if desired and serve with your favorite toppings.
