Preparation Steps
  1. Start by laying out your flour tortillas on a clean, flat surface. If desired, warm them slightly in the microwave for 10 seconds to enhance their flexibility.
  2. Take approximately 3 oz of ground beef and shape it into a ball. Place the beef in the center of each tortilla, then press down to flatten the beef into a thin patty.
  3. Preheat a large griddle or skillet over medium high heat, adding a tablespoon of cooking oil. Place the tortilla with the flattened beef patty onto the hot griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Once the bottom side of the tortilla is browned, carefully flip it over and sprinkle cheese over the beef patty.
  5. Fold the tortilla in half, encasing the filling. Fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the griddle and let cool on a wire rack. Slice in half if desired and serve with your favorite toppings.
