  • 200 ml Soy Milk Can substitute with oat milk or other plant-based alternatives
For Frying
  • 2 cups Cooking Oil Neutral oil for deep frying

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Oyster Mushrooms: Wash and dry the oyster mushrooms, tearing larger pieces in half.
  2. Whisk the Spice Mixture: Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk until well blended.
  3. Create the Batter: Mix part of the spice mixture with soy milk and nutritional yeast until smooth.
  4. Coat the Mushroom Pieces: Dip mushrooms in the wet batter, then coat with remaining dry spice mixture.
  5. Heat the Oil: Heat cooking oil in a saucepan until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry in Batches: Fry coated mushrooms in small batches for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Drain and Cool: Remove fried mushrooms and drain on paper towels; cool for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Serve with lime juice and your choice of dipping sauces.
