Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook for about 5–7 minutes or until well-browned and fully cooked.
  2. Transfer the browned sausage into your crockpot. Pour in the marinara sauce and sprinkle the frozen cheese tortellini over the top. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until tortellini is tender.
  4. In the last 30 minutes, lift the lid and stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Replace the lid and continue cooking until cheese melts.
  5. Once cooking time is up, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
