Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of sour cream, ½ cup of mayonnaise, and 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix. Stir everything together until smooth. Set aside.
- Wash and slice 2-3 medium cucumbers into thin rounds and chop 3-4 green onions. If using, chop 1 tablespoon of fresh dill.
- Grate 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese and crumble 6-8 cooked bacon strips. Add these to the dressing along with the chopped cucumbers and green onions.
- Gently toss all ingredients together until coated with the ranch dressing, being careful not to mash the cucumbers.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then toss again to incorporate. Taste to ensure the flavors balance.
- Cover the bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors.
- Before serving, gently toss the salad and serve chilled as a side dish or light entrée.

Notes
For best results, chill for at least 30 minutes and keep cucumbers separate until serving to maintain texture.
