Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1 lb Ground Beef lean ground beef preferred
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium Onion finely grated
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binder
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream or lighter cream
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for searing
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter for searing
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour for thickening
  • 1 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Dill chopped

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix gently until just combined and form into patties.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and butter. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and additional diced onion, cooking for 2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in salt, black pepper, and all-purpose flour, mixing well.
  4. Gradually pour in chicken broth while scraping the bottom of the skillet. Increase heat to medium, simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and chopped dill, stirring well. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat to simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened. Return patties to skillet and simmer for 5-6 minutes until heated through.
