Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip the salmon fillets gently and cook on the flesh side for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Lower the heat and add 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the skillet.
  6. Add orange zest, minced garlic, and grated ginger; bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add to the glaze, stirring continuously until thickened.
  8. Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the thickened glaze over each fillet. Heat for 2-3 minutes.
