Step-by-Step Instructions
- Season both sides of your steak generously with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning. Allow it to rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Using the same skillet, lower the heat slightly and add a tablespoon of butter. Once melted, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with remaining Cajun seasoning. Sauté for about 3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits. Allow to simmer for a couple of minutes, then stir in the heavy cream.
- Return the sautéed shrimp and sliced steak back into the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss to ensure everything is evenly coated and heat through.
