Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Prepare the strawberry syrup by combining 1 pound of hulled and sliced strawberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Boil gently, then simmer for 10 to 12 minutes while mashing the strawberries.
  3. Strain the syrup into a bowl or pitcher through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract juice.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and strawberry syrup, adding lemon juice if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
