  • 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey or substitute with ground chicken
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs or gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Minced Green Onion or substitute with chives
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger or fresh ginger/ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes omit for milder
For the Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar or honey/coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup Mirin or rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 clove Additional Garlic fresh or powdered
  • 1 teaspoon Additional Ginger fresh or powdered
For Serving
  • 2 cups White Rice or quinoa
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Minced Green Onion for garnish

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the lean ground turkey, egg, panko breadcrumbs, minced green onion, minced garlic, ground ginger, kosher salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes in a large bowl until blended.

  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and arrange them on the baking sheet.

  4. Bake the meatballs for approximately 20 minutes until browned and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  5. Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
