- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Mix the lean ground turkey, egg, panko breadcrumbs, minced green onion, minced garlic, ground ginger, kosher salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes in a large bowl until blended.
- Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and arrange them on the baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs for approximately 20 minutes until browned and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
- Once the meatballs are done, coat them in the teriyaki sauce by tossing them gently in the saucepan.
- Serve the meatballs over white rice or quinoa, garnished with sesame seeds and minced green onions.
