Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your donut pan by greasing it lightly with coconut oil or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: almond flour, hemp protein powder, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together with the maple syrup until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients, using a spatula to gently fold them together until a smooth batter forms.
- Transfer the batter into a plastic bag and cut one corner. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about three-quarters full.
- Place the filled donut pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
- Remove the donut pan from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes on a wire rack.
- If glazing, melt dark chocolate with a little coconut oil until smooth and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
