Preparation Steps
- Wash and hull 1 pound of ripe California strawberries, then slice them into quarters.
- Peel and dice about 1 cup of jicama into small cubes.
- Peel and thinly slice 1 English cucumber.
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the strawberries, jicama, and cucumber.
- In a separate small mixing bowl, squeeze the juice of 2 fresh limes, then add 2 teaspoons of Tajín and whisk until well blended.
- Pour the dressing over the mixed fruits and veggies, and gently toss to coat.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of chamoy and a handful of Mexican style peanuts over the salad.
- Serve the salad immediately for the best freshness.
