Ingredients

For the Gochujang Glaze
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang Korean chili paste.

  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Can use Tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Sweetens the glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin Introduces sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger Adds warmth and aids digestion.
Optional Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onion Adds freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and heat your baking sheet in the oven.
  2. Place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet skin-side down, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Bake the salmon for 7 minutes until it turns opaque and flakes easily.
  4. Whisk together Gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, mirin, and grated ginger in a medium bowl to make the glaze.
  5. Brush the glaze over the baked salmon.
  6. Increase the oven temperature to broil and broil the salmon for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest for a minute, and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
