Method
 

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Spice Rub: In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are blended together.
  2. Season the Chicken: Pat the boneless, skinless chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Drizzle avocado oil over the chicken and rub it in. Sprinkle the spice rub generously over the thighs.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high, aiming for around 400°F (200°C). Oil the grates with a paper towel soaked in cooking oil.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken thighs on the grates. Grill for 5-6 minutes on the first side until nice char marks appear. Flip and grill for another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Apply the BBQ Sauce: During the last 2-3 minutes of grilling, brush your BBQ sauce over the chicken thighs.
  6. Let the Chicken Rest: Remove the grilled chicken thighs and place them on a plate. Cover loosely with foil and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
