- Prepare Ingredients: Slice sausages into thick rounds, chop bacon, dice onions, peel and cube potatoes, and slice carrots if using.
- Brown Meat: In a large pot, heat on medium-high and add bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Add sausage rounds and brown for another 5 minutes.
- Add Vegetables: Stir in onions and cook for about 3 minutes, then add potatoes and carrots, sautéing for another 5 minutes.
- Add Liquids: Pour in broth (or beer/wine), season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine.
