Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan, whisk brownie mix with required ingredients, pour into pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely and cut into 1-inch squares.
  2. Wash 2 cups of fresh strawberries, remove stems, and slice thinly. Set aside and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk one package of instant vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of milk until it thickens. Fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the brownie squares in a trifle bowl, spoon half of the pudding mixture over them, and layer half of the sliced strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layering with remaining brownie squares, pudding mixture, and strawberries.
  6. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the top layer of strawberries if desired.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
