Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese, mixing thoroughly until the dough becomes thick and creamy.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop out the dough using a tablespoon, forming small balls and roll in sugar if desired.
  6. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Once out of the oven, let the cookies rest for 1-2 minutes, then press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  8. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
