  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup soy sauce, ¼ cup hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon five-spice powder, 3 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tablespoon grated ginger. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Take 1.5 pounds of bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs and immerse them in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place on the baking sheet, skin-side up.
  5. Roast for 45-55 minutes, basting every 15 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
