  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup Salted Butter Room temperature
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar For rolling
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 1/4 cup Buttermilk Or 1 tbsp milk + 1/4 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Red Food Coloring Adjust according to preference
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Spoon and leveled
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, white sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth, then freeze in small balls.
  2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg, yolk, buttermilk, and coloring.
  3. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  4. Scoop dough, flatten, wrap around cheesecake balls, and roll in sugar.
  5. Bake at 350ºF for 13 minutes and cool on baking sheet.
