Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Use cold for easier handling
  • 1 cup Crab Meat Fresh, canned, or imitation and drained
  • 2 Tbsp Green Onions Chopped; can substitute with chives or shallots
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Use fresh garlic as an alternative if preferred
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
For the Dough
  • 1 pack Biscuit Dough or Wonton Wrappers Choose based on desired texture
For Frying
  • 2 cups Oil for Frying Vegetable or canola oil recommended

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold cream cheese, drained crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. If using biscuit dough, flatten each piece to create a round shape. For wonton wrappers, cover with a damp cloth.
  3. Place approximately 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each dough piece or wonton wrapper. Fold the dough around the filling and pinch sealed tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). For baking, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Carefully place the bombs into hot oil, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. For baking, cook for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
