Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream 1 cup of softened unsalted butter for about 2 minutes until smooth.

  3. Sift in 4 cups of powdered sugar gradually, mixing low to avoid a sugar cloud, then increase speed to medium for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Carefully sift in 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and mix on low speed, then increase to high for 1-2 minutes until airy.
  5. Add 2-4 tablespoons of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, mixing on high speed for 1-2 minutes.
