Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and continue whisking for about 2 minutes.
  4. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of milk to the roux, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
