Method
 

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Melt Unsalted Butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until fully melted. Cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
  2. Combine the cooled butter with Granulated Sugar, Brown Sugar, and Red Gel Food Coloring in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until creamy.
  3. Add Egg and Vanilla Extract to the mixture and blend until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together All-Purpose Flour, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  5. Scoop out the dough into balls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 180ºC (355ºF).
  7. Bake chilled dough balls for 10-11 minutes until edges are set but centers look soft. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. For frosting, beat softened Butter in a bowl, add Cream Cheese and Vanilla Bean Paste until smooth, then add Powdered Sugar until thick and spreadable.
  9. Once cooled, frost the cookies with the cream cheese frosting.
