Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease your baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp, leaving garlic butter in the skillet.
  5. Pour in white wine or chicken broth to deglaze skillet, stirring to scrape up bits for flavor. Let simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and heavy cream, and simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  7. Toss cooked pasta with creamy sauce in the skillet until coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a greased baking dish, add shrimp, and top with the remaining pasta.
  9. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
