Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries
- Wash and slice about two cups of fresh strawberries. Sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar over them and let them sit for about 10 minutes.

- In a medium bowl, blend 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar if desired.
Step 3: Assemble the Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the cream cheese mixture in a greased baking dish, pour the dry cake mix over it, drizzle melted butter across the top, and spoon the prepared strawberries over everything.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 5: Cool Before Serving
- Let the cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving warm or refrigerating if preferred chilled.
