Step-by-Step Instructions for Pizza Grilled Cheese
- In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 1 clove of minced garlic, and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. Mix well to create a flavorful infusion. Brush this mixture generously on one side of four slices of thick sliced bread.
- On the unbrushed side of each oiled slice, spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce. Stack 2 slices of provolone cheese, followed by 4 slices of pepperoni (optional), and then top with 2 slices of mozzarella cheese.
- Take the remaining four slices of bread and brush the oil mixture on the outer side. Place these slices on top of the assembled sandwiches, oiled side up.
