  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Sage (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Rosemary (chopped)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
For Stuffing and Flavoring
  • 1 Lemon (halved)
  • a few sprigs Fresh Herbs (sage, thyme, rosemary)
  • 1 head Garlic (broken into cloves)

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Remove your whole turkey from the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for about one hour.
  2. Drain any excess moisture from the cavity, pat it dry with paper towels, and generously season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter with the chopped fresh herbs and minced garlic.
  4. Mash the mixture together using a fork until well blended and creamy.
  5. Stuff the halved lemon, fresh herb sprigs, and broken cloves of garlic into the turkey cavity.
  6. Generously rub the garlic herb butter all over the turkey, covering all sides except the underside.
  7. Preheat your oven to 450°F, place the turkey in a roasting pan, then reduce the temperature to 350°F.
  8. Roast for approximately 13 minutes per pound, or about 3 hours for a 14-pound turkey.
  9. Once the turkey reaches the desired internal temperature of 165°F, carefully transfer it to a cutting board and allow it to rest for at least 20 minutes.
  10. Reserve drippings in the pan for gravy.
