Prepare the Loaf
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 6-cup loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk thoroughly for about 30 seconds.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth, then add eggs, vanilla extract, and lavender extract.
- Fold in the mashed bananas gently until just combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture with a spatula until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes before inverting onto parchment paper.
- To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, lavender extract, and heavy cream; adjust with milk as needed.
- Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top and sprinkle with culinary lavender flowers.
