  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts (Walnuts, Pine Nuts, Pistachios, Almonds) mix and match based on what you have at hand.

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by pouring filtered water into a medium saucepan and place it over high heat. Bring the water to a rolling boil, which should take about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and add the cinnamon sticks, freshly sliced ginger, anise seeds, and freshly grated nutmeg. Stir gently to combine, then cover the saucepan with a lid. Allow to simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  3. Taste for strength and flavor. If satisfactory, whisk in the granulated sugar while stirring, ensuring it dissolves fully.
  4. Carefully pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large heatproof pitcher or bowl to remove the spices.
  5. While the tea cools slightly, place a handful of chopped nuts into each cup for added texture and flavor.
  6. Pour the piping hot spiced tea over the nuts in each cup and serve immediately.
