- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan lightly with unsalted butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add ¾ cup of light brown sugar and ½ cup of granulated sugar to the melted butter, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk in 2 large room-temperature eggs, one at a time, and mix in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
