  • 1 lb Ground Beef can be swapped with turkey
  • 1 cup Quick Oats can be replaced with breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Milk dairy-free alternative for lactose intolerance
  • 1 large Egg or flaxseed/applesauce for vegan
  • 1 cup Onion (diced) shallots can be used for milder flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to dietary preferences
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper increase for spicier kick
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup or barbecue sauce for a twist
  • 1 tbl Brown Sugar or honey/maple syrup for sweetness
  • 1 tbl Mustard Dijon for a refined flavor

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, quick oats, milk, egg, diced onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until cohesive.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan, pressing down evenly for shape.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Pour the glaze over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake the meatloaf for 1 hour and 15 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
