  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Infuses classic flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional spice.
  • 12 ounces Dried Medium Pasta Farfalle, Campanelle, or Rigatoni.
  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2.5 cups Water Can use low-sodium chicken broth.
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese Freshly grated for better melting.
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese For added flavor.
  • 0.5 cup Panko Breadcrumbs For a crunchy texture.
  • Fresh Basil Optional garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Melt butter in a Dutch oven. Stir in minced garlic and panko breadcrumbs, sauté for 3 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Wipe down the pot, add olive oil and chicken, cooking for 5 minutes until browned. Add onion, garlic, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 3 minutes.
  3. Pour in pasta, marinara sauce, and water. Stir to combine and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is al dente.
  5. Remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, and basil until melted.
  6. Serve and sprinkle toasted panko on top for crunch.
