Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Pineapple Cucumber Agua Fresca
  1. Start by washing your large English cucumber and chopping it into smaller pieces for easier blending. Next, peel and chop the pineapple into bite-sized pieces, ensuring to remove the hard core. Gather your freshly squeezed lime juice, grated ginger, and mint leaves.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine the chopped cucumber, pineapple, lime juice, ginger, mint leaves, and 4 cups of water. Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  3. If you prefer a sweeter taste, feel free to add a tablespoon or two of pure maple syrup to the blender and blend for an additional 10 seconds.
  4. To achieve a smoother texture, place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl or pitcher. Carefully pour the blended mixture into the strainer, allowing the liquid to pass through while keeping the pulp behind.
  5. Fill a large pitcher with ice and pour the strained Agua Fresca over it, mixing together to create a chilled drink.
  6. If you wish to add a spirited touch, pour 1 oz. of gin or vodka into each glass before adding the Pineapple Cucumber Agua Fresca. Stir gently to combine.
