  • 1 large Egg Binds the mixture together.
For the Sweet Potatoes
  • 2-3 medium Sweet Potatoes Can substitute with regular potatoes.
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream Opt for milk for a lighter version.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • Salt Adjust to taste.
  • Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and chop 2–3 medium sweet potatoes into evenly sized pieces. Place them in boiling salted water for 15–20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper to taste.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, panko breadcrumbs, grated apple, chopped sage, grated garlic, and beaten egg. Season with salt, pepper, and allspice. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs the size of a golf ball and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake meatballs for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve the meatballs over a generous portion of creamy mashed sweet potatoes, garnishing with crispy sage leaves if desired.
