Ingredients
  

For the Lemonade
  • 1 piece Fresh Ginger about 2 inches, thinly sliced or grated
  • 1/2 cup Honey or Agave to taste
  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 4 cups Water divided into hot for steeping and cold for mixing
  • 2-4 cups Ice Cubes for serving
Optional Garnish
  • 4 Lemon Slices for garnish
  • 1 sprig Mint Leaves for garnish
  • 2-3 slices Ginger Slices for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Wash about a 2-inch piece of fresh ginger thoroughly. Slice or grate for infusion.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced ginger with 1.5 cups of water. Bring to a boil and steep for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the ginger-infused water into a bowl or jug. Stir in honey while warm until dissolved.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine ginger syrup with 2.5 cups of cold water and fresh lemon juice. Whisk to mix well.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves.

Notes
