  2. Combine melted unsalted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Gradually add all-purpose flour until crumbly. Reserve one-third for topping.
  3. Press the larger portion of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan, making it flat and compact.
  4. Toss sliced apples with ground cinnamon and nutmeg until coated. Layer over the crumble base.
  5. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the layered apple filling.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved crumble mixture over the caramel-drizzled apples.
