  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce homemade or store-bought

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  6. Scoop the dough into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  8. While baking, prepare the salted caramel sauce by melting caramel candies with a splash of heavy cream over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  9. Once the bars are done, drizzle the warm salted caramel sauce generously over the top and allow to cool completely in the pan.
