Ingredients

  • 300 g Pasta Choose penne or fusilli for fun shapes.
For the Chicken
  • 300 g Chicken Breast Cut into bite-sized pieces.
For Sautéing

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, adds flavor.
For the Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Herbs Adds depth; fresh herbs can be used.
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes 400 g can, base of creamy sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Creates richness, swap with half-and-half if desired.
For Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
For the Cheesy Finish
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded, for gooey finish.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated, adds nuttiness.
For Garnish
  • Fresh Basil Leaves For color and flavor.
  • Red Pepper Flakes Optional for added spice.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add 300 grams of pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add seasoned chicken and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in ½ cup of heavy cream and let simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, combine it with the sauce for an additional minute.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken and sauce until well combined.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pasta, stirring until melted.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes if desired, serve hot.
